Kichinga Nominated as Kebbi State Coordinator of PBAT Door-to-Door Movement
Seeking to boost grassroots mobilisation efforts of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, Muhammad Adamu Kichinga has been nominated as the Kebbi State Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement.
The nomination was made by Bashar Aliyu Buhari, the Honourable Special Assistant to the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu. It signals a renewed push to strengthen direct engagement with citizens in Kebbi State as part of the broader Renewed Hope Agenda.
Reacting to the appointment, Muhammad Adamu Kichinga expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah. Alhamdulillah. By the grace of God, he said, before pledging unwavering loyalty to the movement’s objectives.
We remain unapologetically committed to this Mandate. Kichinga declared. He emphasised the movement’s core philosophy with the powerful slogan. PBAT. Every door matters.
The nomination of Muhammad Adamu Kichinga comes at a critical time as the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement seeks to expand its footprint across Nigeria’s 36 states. In Kebbi State, the movement is expected to play a pivotal role in sensitising residents on key government policies, including economic reforms, infrastructure development, security enhancement, and social welfare programmes.
Political analysts view the appointment as a strategic masterstroke. Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, a respected statesman and former governor of Kebbi State, has once again demonstrated his commitment to national unity and the success of the Tinubu administration by facilitating this nomination through his Special Assistant.
Kichinga, who brings a wealth of experience in community mobilisation and public service, is expected to coordinate a robust team that will be formally unveiled in the coming days. The team will operate across Kebbi State’s three senatorial districts and 21 Local Government Areas, ensuring no community is left behind.
The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement is a people-centred initiative designed to take governance closer to the people. Unlike traditional top-down approaches, the movement emphasises personal contact. It literally goes from door to door to listen to citizens’ concerns, explain government policies, and gather feedback that can shape future interventions.
Launched as part of efforts to consolidate support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the movement focuses on several key areas. These include economic empowerment and poverty alleviation, agricultural development and food security, healthcare improvement and access to quality medical services, education and youth development, security and peace building, as well as infrastructure and rural development.
In Kebbi State, known as the Land of Equity, the movement is anticipated to address local challenges while highlighting successes recorded by the current administration at both federal and state levels.
Muhammad Adamu Kichinga is widely regarded as a dedicated public servant and grassroots mobiliser. His track record in community development and political organisation has earned him respect across various circles in Kebbi State. Supporters describe him as a bridge-builder who possesses the integrity, energy, and vision required to drive the movement’s objectives.
His acceptance of the role underscores a deep sense of patriotism and commitment to the progress of Kebbi State and Nigeria as a whole. In his statement, Kichinga called on all well-meaning citizens, especially the youth and women, to support the movement’s noble goals.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu remains one of the most influential political leaders in Northern Nigeria. His continued involvement in national politics, particularly in supporting the Tinubu administration, has been instrumental in maintaining stability and promoting development-oriented policies.
Bashar Aliyu Buhari, as Special Assistant to the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, plays a vital coordinating role in ensuring that federal initiatives are effectively cascaded to the state level. His decision to nominate Kichinga reflects confidence in the nominee’s capacity to deliver results.
With Kichinga at the helm, the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Kebbi State is poised to achieve several milestones. It will focus on mass mobilisation by reaching thousands of households across rural and urban communities. It will drive policy sensitisation by explaining complex national programmes such as the student loan scheme, compressed natural gas initiative, and agricultural interventions in simple, relatable terms. It will establish effective feedback mechanisms for citizens to voice their opinions directly to government officials. Special focus will be placed on youth and women engagement. The movement will also promote inter-party collaboration by building bridges across political lines for the overall development of the state.
The movement is also expected to complement ongoing state government efforts under the current administration in Kebbi, fostering synergy between federal and state initiatives.
The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement forms part of a larger strategy by the Tinubu administration to reconnect with the electorate and deliver tangible dividends of democracy. Similar coordinators are being appointed across other states as the movement gathers momentum nationwide.
Political observers note that this grassroots approach could prove decisive in shaping the political landscape ahead of future elections while ensuring continuous accountability and citizen participation in governance.
As the team prepares for official inauguration, Kichinga called for the support and cooperation of traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth groups, women associations, and all stakeholders in Kebbi State.
Every door matters, he reiterated, urging residents to welcome the movement’s representatives and engage constructively for the progress of the state and the nation.
The nomination of Muhammad Adamu Kichinga as Kebbi State Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement marks a new chapter in the state’s political and developmental journey. It reflects the commitment of the Tinubu administration to inclusive governance and direct citizen engagement.
As the movement takes root in Kebbi, expectations are high that it will contribute meaningfully to peace, unity, and sustainable development in the Land of Equity.
